Rollover

Here's a picture of Nolan after the first time he rolled from his back to his tummy. Now that he knows how, he won't stop. ALthough he rolled from his tummy to his back first, he is much better now at the back to tummy and sleeps that way now. He is pretty much all over the place now. It's such an amazing time, there's seems to be so many firsts!

Trouble Maker

Notice the empty doggie bed? Here's why! :)

Best Buddies

Look at these two!

More Please

Nolan caught on to the eating from a spoon concept and now is eating like a champ!

Happy Birthday Beth!

Sorry this post is a few days late, I haven't had the time to post much lately. It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating your golden birthday! I am so glad we've become friends and I will truly miss your ever positive and ever-kind attitude and personality when we leave. But I know that you'll come visit, so I won't be too sad! :)

Happy 1st Day of Spring

Yep, that's the view from our window today. I would say there's at least 10 inches, but we're not sure yet. Brian got to go to work late (delayed start). Seriously though, I was really pulling for the school's to be closed. It's not like there's been a snow day this year but that would be too much "fun!" Poor kids. If we had this weather in St. Louis, the schools would definitely be closed...and I think that's how it should be! :)

Daddy, don't go!

Nolan cuddling with Daddy before work, it sure makes it hard for Brian to leave!

Blogging Mates

Anyone else having issues uploading pictures? I wonder if its our computer or if its just a busy time or if there's something going on that I wasn't aware if since I haven't posted in awhile. But it is taking forever and then the upload screen just blanks out and I have to start all over. So flippin' annoying!

Growing Boy

Nolan had his 4 month well baby appointment on Thursday. He weighed 11 lbs 4 oz! Another 2 lbs in a month, we're so happy! The doctor gave us the go ahead to start feeding Nolan cereal (rice cereal, not Captain Crunch) twice a day. It is SO much fun feeding him. The first time, I don't think he truly ate any. It was all over his face, spilling out of his mouth. Each feeding has become a little better, but he's still in the learning process. We're having a blast though! The dogs keeping waiting for him to drop something...I tell ya, in a few months when he's eating more and throwing it on the floor, those dogs will LOVE him!

Evan's a theif!

Ha Ha! Totally kidding! Last weekend we attended a party at Major D's house for the OGV squadron. Nolan was sporting his shamrock socks in honor of the upcoming St. Patty's Day. He and Evan were both on the floor, but a good distance from each other, pretty much playing by themselves (as opposed to playing hide and seek, like most 8 and 4 month old babies do). We looked over and somehow Evan had one of Nolan's socks and he was having a blast playing with it and waving it in the air in victory! Here's Evan, with the sock, and Nolan that day, just chilling out!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hope yours was as good as ours. Nolan and I went to lunch with Julie and Hudson, but there was no corn beef and cabbage on the menu. Then Brian and I were invited out with some friends that I used to work with at the college, so Rick and Linda (Amanda's parents ) were kind enough to watch Nolan a few hours so we could go out. It was definitely great to see everyone. Kim and Matt got a sitter for Avery, too, so they met up with us, as well. It was actually kind of strange being out with all four of us and no babies! Isn't it funny how its only been a few months, yet I can't seem to imagine how my life was without little man in it. We didn't bring the camera on our night on the town, but here's a picture of Nolan with his shamrock socks, a present from Mr. & Mrs. O'Connor (who else?) and Nolan's Irish pal, a gift from Keelee and Lou!

True Inspiration

These two men were on Oprah yesterday, and the way they live their lives humbled me. The son was born disabled and doctors told his parents he would be best off in an institution. His parents refused. Today, he can communicate by tapping his head (nose, I think) against a computer, and it translates for him. A few years back he told his father he wanted to race in a marathon. His father obliged, and now they particiapte in 50 TRIATHALONS a year. I can barely run a mile! It's truly amazing and makes me appreciate the things I take for granted each and every day.

I forgot to post two birthdays. My mother in law's (Sorry that was during my blogging absence) and Kim. I thought Kim's birthday was today, so I just decided to post my birthday wishes to you here. Next year I'll get it right! Happy (belated, but not forgotten) Birthdays!!!!!

Nolan and Mom having fun

HELLOOOOOOO???

Yes, we're still here, just super duper busy. Let's see, where to begin? Sat, Feb 25th: Nolan and I were invited to Hudson's 1st Birthday party and it was a yee-haw good time! (the theme was western). Hudson looked adorable (and his folks didn't look so bad either). That night our house officially went on the market. Sigh...bittersweet. Which means from now until we sell the house, it needs to be spotless. Not easy with a little guy, but it makes life interesting! Sunday, Feb 26th: Kim and I wen to see Brokeback Mountain. It was a beautiful movie, and was heartwrenching. Afterwards we met the boys (and babies) for dinner! Monday: Brian's squadron had a pot luck lunch at the base bowling alley, so Nolan and I joined him for that. It was fun and we even got to bowl. Saturday (yesterday), there was an open house at our place, so the three of us wen to Chili's for lunch. In the meantime, Brian has finished remodeling the basement bathroom and it looks so much better. I so wish we would have done these things sooner, so we could enjoy them more. I'll be sure to post pics of the "new" kitchen and bathroom.
