How Cute!
Here's Nolan's friend Hailey. They were born two days apart. We think if we took them out together, people would think they were twins. They had fun playing together!
Congratulations Brian!
Brian completed his last alert last Wed. I am so proud of him and Nolan is, too! He had 250-something total alerts (sorry, honey, I'm never good at exact numbers). That means we spent over a year apart...just with his alerts and not counting TDY's. See, there is a recipe for a good marriage!!! HA HA HA HA! KIDDING!!!
I'll let Brian tell you all the rest of how his last alert went...the guys got him pretty good! Anyway, hats off to you, sweetie, you deserve it.
Nolan's First Easter
It was a gorgeous day here in Cheyenne for Easter. The sun was shining, it was warm. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Samuel and Beth had an Easter gathering and as usual, they went above and beyond the call of duty as hosts. The spread was magnificent and the Easter Bunny even found his way to their house to hide eggs for the little ones. Beth insisted Nolan, Avery & Jack participate, so here's some pics of them during the hunt. As you can see, Nolan is getting the hang of the sitting thing. He does fall still, so he hasn't mastered it completely, but we're working with him!

Way Behind
So I am way behind on postings and pictures. I am completely overwhelmed with trying to get things squared away with the packing (that doesn't actually mean we have STARTED packing, but thinking about it is tough work). Anyway, while Brian's home this weekend, I'll try to catch up on my blogging. Although he is hanging with Nolan tomorrow while I go grocery shopping...alone! Ahhhh. Who knew that could be so exciting? And Tammi's (actually Tammi, my friend & my cousin Tammy) reading this going...but one kid is so EASY to shop with!
Hee hee!!
Happy Birthday Tammi :)
Well, I know you check my site every day, so you know I haven't posted all week. Sorry I wasn't able to post ON your birthday, but we got to see each other, which is better, right? :)
Happy B-day!!! Big hugs.
This is one of my favorite pics of you two. This is one of the one's that gave me the bug...the baby bug, that is!!!

Easter Pictures
Here are some Easter pictures that we had done yesterday. Nolan was very distracted by all the other kids, making it quite a challenge to get him to smile. Until we got home of course! But we were still very pleased!

All By Himself
When I was feeding Nolan this weekend he kept trying to grab for the spoon. I gave in (making sure the spoon had minimal cereal) and let him grab it. He grabbed with his right hand and did pretty good!
Best Sound In the World
Sunday I was holding Nolan in my lap and Brian was playing Peek-A-Boo with him. He was smiling and loving it. All of a sudden we heard him laugh. We looked at each other for confirmation, then at Nolan. We laughed, and he laughed more! Brian continued to play Peek-a-Boo with him and he was BELLY LAUGHING! We were albe to videotape it and then call both sets of Grandparents so they could hear. Of course, he hasn't laughed since, but I'm sure that wasn't the last of the laughing we'll hear (at least I hope not)!
He is also up to 12 lbs, 12 oz!! Yeah!

Farewell Party
Saturday Keelee and Lou threw a party for Julie and Bryan. It was such a nice party and so great to see everyone.
It will be tough to see Julie & Bryan go, but not as difficult for us, since they are moving to Alabama and only be 2 1/2 hours from where we'll live. We plan on seeing them at the beginning of May, so it makes it easier (seriously, I am very bad at good-byes).
The only time I remembered to take a picture was when Beth's new dog (still no name?), who is ADORABLE was making introductions with Nolan!
Active little man
He's all over the place, rolling across the room. No more leaving him in a room by himself. However, the exciting thing is that now we can put some (safe) toys in his crib and when he first wakes up in the AM, he entertains himself for awhile. We can hear him screeching happily in the morning. Its adorable!
Missouri Folks Okay?
We saw you all had some terrible weather yesterday. Hope you are all safe and sound. It looked like Cape may have gotten hit pretty bad, but I wasn't 100%. You know geography isn't my strong point. But when I was there, I remember some really ugly storms this time of year.
Andi, remember when that storm came through (when we were roomies) and knocked out electricty all across campus and town? The only place that still had elecricity was El Terraro's. Your final was post poned, the cafeteria was closed, what else could we do but go to our favorite place? Oh, those were the good days!!!!
It Tastes So Good to be Right!
Brian and I have had a long going "disagreement" about how a Wendy's Frosty is made. I apparently insulted him (and the untouchable frosty) when in college I said, "I could make you one of those." I thought I was being nice. Not so much. Brian was appalled. It's like...a MEGA SECRET recipe, no one can make it but Wendy's!! I told him all it had in it was vanilla ice cream, choc sauce and malt. He said, and I quote, "There is no chocolate in a frosty." Um, hello???
So, its been this ongoing joke for years. The other night, I brought him a frosty as a surprise and suddenly I hear him go "CRAP!!" I thought there was something VERY wrong (like a thumb in his frosty, as Amanda said, ha ha). But he was just reading the side of the cup, pictured below. He knew he was caught!! And for the record, it didn't cross my mind to post this, until he suggested it.
