Thumbs Up

This picture cracks me up. Joseph giving the thumb's up sign to whole banana eating. He would give you a thumbs down sign when the banana falls out of the peel, but his world falls apart and he's too busy screaming and crying.

Parlee Farms

We went to Parlee Farms at the beginning of October for some pumpkin and flower picking and fall festivities.

This was the hay bale circle...huge haystacks set up so the kids could run around on top of them. Very fitting that Nolan insisted on wearing his cowboy boots! J & D loved feeding the goats! Actually, the goats enjoyed it, too. Since it was a warm September, they still had wild flowers to pick. They give you a bucket and sheers and you can pick a ton. They lasted awhile and were so pretty!! This pic is Nolan leading Daniel down the flower trail. J bear picking apart a flower. She loves me, she loves me not...The following is how the boys felt about sitting for a picture in the pumpkin patch. Thrilled...

Oktoberfest

Last Friday base hosted their annual Oktoberfest. We were worried the rain would spoil it, but I think it actually drew more people in (think kids cooped up all day). They had games, face painting, pumpkin decorating, brats, beer, 'kraut....makings for a great night. Nolan decorating a pumpkin. He kept smiling really ridiculous, so I told him to just make a silly face. This is the Nolan "forced" smile...I guess we all have one, right? Mairead and her twin girls, Keira and Kylie: Nolan had Brian "arrested" but seemed genuinely worried when it happened, so agreed to go to jail with him.
