Wonderful Visit

We had such a great time while Brian's parents and Grandma were here. I REALLY enjoyed the company, not to mention the extra hands to help. Great Grandma, PawPaw, Joseph, Nolan, Gramma & Daniel:
Great Grandma was Nolan's best bud and she introduced him to gum, as you can see!

Let the Good Times Roll

It was a wild morning in our house....
XOXO,

Acid Reflux Stinks!!!

I am beyond behind on posts and updates. I have at least 100 cute pics of the boys. But my time is so limited these days and not just because we have twins and a toddler. Poor Daniel...he is really having a rough time, so much so that I'm on the verge of admitting him to the hospital until someone can tell me what the heck is the matter with our little guy. It started a couple weeks ago, like it always does...a bit of fussiness at eating. It got worse. And worse. A week ago, after a morning where he wouldn't stop crying, we were sent to Pensacola's ER. We spent 6 1/2 hours there (and Daniel endured painful tests) for them to tell me nothing is wrong...except acid reflux. So we switched meds again. They have not helped and in fact, we think he is worse. We visited the pediatrician this week, who assured me, "It will get better." Eating hurts Daniel so badly that he is beginning to reject the bottle and even his pacifier. I'm terrified. We have an appointment Tuesday to do an upper GI exam, where he drinks a chalky substance and they do an X-ray. I hate this and am spent. I'm worn out and I just want him to catch a freaking break!! On a positive note, I weighed him this morning and it's truly a miracle, but he is 10lbs2oz, up 5 oz from Wed (crazy, right?). We think the rice cereal is helping him gain weight. Now if we could just get him to eat he would be doing great. We don't have big plans this weekend, so hopefully with Brian's help I can get some updates here!!

Pumpkin Patchin'

Nolan has been VERY excited about fall coming because he knew it meant going to the Pumpkin Patch, which is at our church. We've gone twice, once while our visitors were here and later that week with Nolan's preschool. Both times were fun, but hot, so we didn't last too long.

Baptism

Brian's parents and grandmother paid us a visit at the beginning of the month. While they were here we had the twins' baptised  (Oct 4th) during church. It was simple, but very moving for us. Both boys' did great and didn't seem bothered by the water at all!

During the ceremony. I'm holding Daniel:

This is the only time we had the twins' put on their "bonnets" (and the closest I'll come to having girls...until they are Nolan's age and dress as princesses)!

Way Back When...

You know, way back when...when I was still pregnant with the twins' and it was just my Nolan and I. Do you remember that? I vaguely do. It seems like another lifetime, but here are some pictures to prove that time did in fact exist. Two days before the twins' arrived (although at the time we thought it was still at least a couple weeks away), while Brian was in town in St. Louis, but at work, I took Nolan to the Museum of Transportation. I thought we would be looking at a couple trains and that Nolan would get to play in the play room one of the mom's I met had told me about. However, there was actually quite a bit more walking than I had expected, but Nolan was so enthralled I could have cared less! Knowing what I know NOW, I could have overexerted myself and it wouldn't have mattered since the babies came for a totally different reason. Anyway, here are some pics!

There was this room called the Creation Station. You paid a small fee to have an hour of play in the room. There were a TON of wooden train tracks and assortments of trains to play with, a craft the kids could make, a wooden ship for the kids to climb/play, blocks, and all kinds of fun stuff. Here's Nolan climbing the ship in his Captain costume, one of the many costumes they had for the kids to play in.

Nolan in the room where there were lots of cars and trucks. He loved it, big surprise!

One of the big trains. This one we got to climb in and Nolan got to pull a string that sounded this obnoxious very loud horn. He's so strong that he's stopping the train in it's track!!

There was also a little train to ride, which we did of course (twice). The conductor took a picture of us, which I hated at the time because I looked and felt huge. I still look huge, but now I'm super glad to have the pic!!! I zoomed in on my feet and felt sad for them, it was SO hot and we were walking around and they were so swollen!!

Life Saver!!!

This is a Podee bottle and it has become my extra pair of arms! Cheyna gave this to me (THANK YOU) and I tried it about a month ago and Joseph hated it and the milk spilled all over him. Now it works like a charm!! I guess his "sucking" skills have improved.  I have since gotten two more and am trying to get Daniel to get the hang of it. Seriously, this thing is A-MAZING!!!
