Labor Day Weekend

We had a fantastic weekend, hopefully all of you did, as well. Friday was a family day on base, so we were blessed with Brian having a 4 day weekend. Friday we grocery shopped and went to Wal-Mart for some necessities. Then we took a nice walk, as it actually seemed to cool down a bit. Saturday we headed to Destin to shop for Nolan's next car seat. After shopping, we headed to a local Greek Festival, where there was authentic greek food, dancing, and vendors. We feasted on gyros, greek lasagne, and more, then of course bought some greek pastries for dessert (which we took with us). Then we headed across the street to walk on the beach. It was early evening and gorgeous. The beach we choose was the 20-something crowd...everyone was drinking beers, in tiny swimsuits and having a great time. Brian and I were the old farts with a baby! Ha ha! Brian told me to go wait in the car, because Nolan is a "chick magnet!" HA HA, kidding! After Nolan went to sleep that night we watched The Upside of Anger...I loved the movie! Then Sunday we went to a 1st Birthday party for one of Nolan's pals, Abigail. I met her mom, Cheyna, through a local play group and Brian and her hubby, Andrew, are in the same wing and do PT a couple times a week together. It was a great time. Abigail was beautiful and had a great time opening gifts...and of course eating her first cake!! Monday we ended the weekend by having Jake, Jamie & Stacey (Jamie's sister) over for some brats. Then we watched some of the Florida game and hit the hay a bit early. Thanks for stopping in, hope you all are having a wonderful day! Here's Nolan with new shoes from Tammi (THANK YOU!!!) eating some Cheerio's in Target:
Here's the 3 of us at the Greek Festival (Nolan is much more interested in getting my necklace in his mouth than smiling for the camera):

How fun! We did some landscaping in our front yard. I don't have pictures to post today (our memory card for our camera is MIA).
